Soprano, Erin Saway Moore, praised for her “beautifully, focused and chilling” voice and “bringing powerful beauty” to her performances, continues to establish herself as a singing actor and soloist. This 2015-2016 season will see Moore return to Opera Birmingham for her fifth consecutive season as Annina in La Traviata. Moore will make her Lyric Theater (Birmingham, AL) debut for Davidson’s I Never Saw Another Butterfly with Daniel Szasz and Lester Seigel. Moore will also be joining Sursum Corda for their upcoming concerts in Spring 2016.
In recent seasons Moore has sung First Spirit in Magic Flute (Opera Birmingham), The First Touriere in Suor Angelica (Opera Birmingham), The Second Woman in Dido and Aeneas (Alabama Symphony Orchestra), and The Page in Rigoletto (Opera Birmingham). Other favorite roles performed included Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro and Aurora/Semele in L’Egisto.
Concert performances include Faure’s Requiem, Poulenc’s Gloria, Bizet’s Agnus Dei, Mozart’s Laudate Dominum, Schubert’s Ave Maria, Bach/Gounod’s Ave Maria, and Franck’s Panis Angelicus.
Moore is a graduate of Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Moore currently resides in Birmingham, AL with her husband Matthew and two fur babies, Charlie and Champ.
